About kullu convent school

Kullu convent school is a dream of MD’s Mr. Suresh Kumar, Mr. Pawan Sharma and Mr. Mohan Kapoor. KCS was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Ram Lal Markanda, honorable Agricultural minister of Himachal Pradesh on 18th of February 2018. KCS is a unit of Kullu Science School, which is one among the well known schools in Kullu that has achieved many milestones in academic as well as co-curricular work. KCS started with 11 numbers of teaching staffs and 3 non-teaching staffs. It comprises of classes pre-nursery to class VIII with a total of 40 students in very first year.

ACADEMICS :

• As per school academics, continuous efforts are being made to use the CCE format and have been made successful by the dedicated staffs. Extra classes and remedial measures to improve the students were conducted as per requirement.

  CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

  A host of co-curricular activities have been organized during the year. Every Wednesday, the school participates in the club-wise activities like dance and crafts under the guidance of teachers-in-charge and every Saturdays, the students are trained karate by Mr. Narayan Thakur. To promote the competitive spirit and to bring out the talents of the students, they are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activities. Competitions like drawing and painting, essay writing, recitation, spell bee, diya painting, etc were conducted during the course of the year. Cleanliness and plantation programmes were also observed on Environment day and Gandhi Jayanti.

  PICNICS AND EXCURSIONS

  The school has organized one day picnic programs for the students. The students of pre-nursery to KG were taken to Nature Park, Mohal on 1st of September, while the students of classes I to VIII were taken to Manali. This was one day when the teachers and the students together had all the fun.

  MEDICAL CHECK-UP

  A health check up was conducted by Dr. Saurabh Sharma along with his team for all the KCS students on 18th of July. Regular height, weight along with necessary advices to the students was being suggested after proper check up.

  SPORTS AND GAMES

  The school has taken initiatives in the sports arena. We have consolidated the sports activities on the routine basis besides two day sports meet held on 24th and 25th of May where almost all the students took part in various games and showed their talents. In a nutshell, KCS encourage a child to observe, to explore, to experiment, to prove, to analyze, to confront problems and find solutions finally to the skills.
